OpenNyAI Legal Research Tools are a set of Legal Research tools being developed by OpenNyAI in collaboration with legal research organisations across India to solve the most common challenges of dealing with Indian Legal Documents. This includes dealing with poor scans of documents including handwritten documents, translating across Indian languages, handling data format inputs and outputs, and more. These tools leverage a combination of modern LLM capabilities to streamline what would otherwise be time and cost intensive activities. These legal research tools do not intend to transform legal research workflows or replace the role of legal researchers. We envision these tools to merely automate the most laborious parts of the research process and ensure the legal documents are more accessible, structured and usable.
